Ailin Ismail decided to put her trusted colleague to work and challenged Giorgiana Ciocan to be this week's mindit chats spotlight!

Let's have a look at how our chat with Giorgiana went.

1. What's something that happened to you that can only happen here? What's unique about mindit.io?

A unique thing about mindit.io is that you can really shape your daily role based on your professional potential. You are encouraged to discover as much as you can about what you do, to develop yourself so that you can grow in your areas of interest.

2. How have you grown professionally while on our team?

I can't describe in words how grateful I am for the things my team has done for me! I learn daily from my colleagues, both professionally and personally.

When I came to mindit.io, I had no experience in recruitment, and this made me a little scared because I felt I couldn't handle the dynamics of this environment. My colleagues had all the patience to teach me all the things I needed, to help me grow and train myself so that I could work at their level.

Although I know there is still a lot to learn, my team always makes it look easy. I am currently taking part in our internal mentoring program, and I think it is a great opportunity to be able to discuss all the aspects that interest me in the recruitment area with someone who manages to do this at a very high level.

3. What was the moment you knew you'd made the right decision to work here?

The moment I knew it was a place where I needed to be was when a friend of mine told me that he would do anything to find a job about which he could speak with the same enthusiasm as I do about my job and my team. It made me realize that I was lucky enough to land in a good place right from the start.

4 How would you describe an ideal day at work?

An ideal day for me starts with a morning walk around the neighborhood. I like to start my day with sunshine and music, as it helps me start the day in a good mood.

After that, my ideal day includes our morning meeting, where we get to plan how we will work that day. It's my favorite time of the day because I know for sure that we're preparing for all the things that need to get done.

Then, I'm not going to lie, it's nice when unplanned things come up that we need to take care of. It's very satisfying when we manage to get through whatever comes our way, maybe even more exciting than a regular day where everything goes smoothly.

5. In one word, how would you describe your team?

My team? "All for one and one for all!". I couldn't describe it better.

6. Which benefits are your favorite and why?

My favorite benefit is working from home. Here I feel I can perform best. I'm also currently doing a Master's Degree in Organizational Sociology and working from home helps me to be more organized with both work and studies.

7. What advice would you give to anyone thinking about joining mindit.io?

I think mindit.io really encourages a different kind of workplace environment. If you are willing to learn and teach others what you know, then this place is for anyone who is ready to grow with us.

Take a look at our OPEN ROLES, and apply today! There’s always room for cool and talented people at mindit.io!

8. If you could do anything else for a living, in an alternative universe, what would that be?

My mother is a kindergarten teacher and my grandparents are chemistry and history teachers. I always thought that life would lead me to a career in teaching because I was fascinated by the power, care, and responsibility that teachers have over us.

Not necessarily in an alternative universe, but sometimes I think that I would love to be a sociology teacher, having some strong role models in this field and a passion for sociology.

9. What movie, book, or TV show would you recommend? How do you relax and unwind?

I most enjoy reading biographies. I think that this is the easiest way to get in touch with how other people live and feel the events in their lives. I enjoy reading these kinds of books so much that it doesn't even matter whose biography is.

I can't recommend a single biography, but I recommend reading one of a person who is interesting to you. For example, I am now reading Pablo Escobar's wife's diary and I find it very interesting how she faced all the events we all saw in “Narcos”, but from the perspective of a wife and mother.

10. Who would you tag next to be interviewed by us?

I was talking a tthe beginning of this interview about how grateful I am for our Mentoring program, so it is my pleasure to TAG my mentor - Anelis Burlacu!
