Ioana Vasile wanted to find out what her colleague, Ionut Iotu, is made of when he's not tackling support tasks.
The results? Just continue reading...
I would have to say that being able to work from anywhere is something truly unique. Sure, many companies offer work-from-home options, but mindit.io even added an extra twist to it all – the minditNomad concept.
Not only can you work from anywhere without having to come to the office, but you can also work from one of the minditNomad homes in Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi, Sibiu, Comarnic, and Constanta.
Career-wise, the unique opportunities offered by mindit.io are not something to shy away from. You can build your own role, and, especially from the support team, you can pursue other roles in mindit.io’s BA or BI teams, or you can switch to Project Management based on what you see yourself doing in the future.
mindit.io offers opportunities much faster than you would typically find in corporations, which is a big plus.
I came here by chance. I had a friend working here, and he asked me if I would be interested in joining the mindit.io team. I said yes, I applied, and it took about two days and a half to have the interview and sign the paperwork.
I’ve been a part of mindit.io for two years, doing technical support. My role covers all the difficulty levels in terms of technical support tasks. As part of this team, I learned much more SQL than I knew before, and now I feel comfortable tackling any tasks or requests our partners may have.
To put things shortly, I try to create order where there’s chaos. And I love it. Challenges motivate me, and that’s one of the best ways to constantly learn new things, in my opinion.
To be honest, I never really thought about this before. I think it’s in our human nature to only think about these things once they are in the past. To reflect on them. But as far as my mindit.io experience goes, I realized straight from the start that I joined a really cool and friendly team.
They allowed me to build my own methods and solve things my way. It’s a “you break it, you fix it” scenario, and that’s how you learn. That’s how we optimize our processes.
As opposed to other workplaces where you have to follow a script, mindit.io encourages you to find your own path and work enjoyably and efficiently for your style.
You’re always free to try new things and develop innovative solutions, leading to progress.
I do a lot of reports for our partners, and one of the things that really makes me proud about my work is receiving positive feedback. This one time, a partner went directly to Anamaria Bumbar, mindit.io’s COO, and gave positive feedback about my work, which really meant a lot to me. And that was a really good day.
Another accomplishment, if I can call it that, was last year’s 2021 presentation, where I was on the list with a couple of other colleagues for outstanding performances. That’s something I take pride in, knowing that the work I perform is appreciated and valued.
I also take my daily dose of dopamine whenever I come up with solutions for complex tasks. If there’s one thing worth pointing out about mindit.io, it’s the feedback culture you’ll find here. It gives me an impulse to pursue other related areas to my work and to develop improvements for our processes. It keeps me motivated!
I honestly feel the same vibe today as I did two years ago when I joined mindit.io, although the team has changed. There’s always someone to help you whenever you encounter any issues, which is a huge plus because we’re solving our partners’ problems and developing better professionals in-house.
If someone’s stuck, we all try to find the best possible solution in record time. Suppose there’s something we don’t know how to solve. In that case, we start researching and asking around throughout our development teams for help. They always step in with insights and solutions.
I’d say that we work very well both inside our team and with other teams as well.
The first for me is being able to work from home or from anywhere in the world. After going through a two, or three-year-long pandemic, I don’t even know anymore; it’s pretty hard to tell people they must return to the office.
At mindit.io, you can work from home, the countryside, Tenerife, or Malaysia. The sky’s the limit (that, and the legal requirements for each country, of course)!
You can choose to change sceneries any time you like, without taking vacation days. You get the best out of both worlds: professional and personal life.
And as a cherry on top, you get the minditNomad benefit which is truly unique. So far, I’ve been to minditNomad’s Comarnic and Constanta’s homes. Still, I’m considering exploring the homes from Cluj, Iasi, and Sibiu.
These two would have to be my favorite benefits, but there are a lot more that form the complete package.
That’s easy! I would raise my salary and take a 6 month-long vacation. That’s what I would do for myself. But all joking aside, I don’t know what I’d do as a CEO for a day. To be honest, I think 24 hours is a pretty short time to develop innovative adjustments.
Being CEO requires a lot of experience and skills, and making informed decisions in such a short time span would be close to impossible. Sure, you could try to ballpark it and implement something revolutionary, but I’m not sure if you’ll be able to maintain the same positive trend mindit.io is on right now.
Come here with an open mind and a medium-term plan for your career because this is where you can make it all happen. Think about what you want to do, and rest assured that when opportunities arise, you’ll benefit from them if you’re willing to take them!
I really like this about mindit.io. I recommend you apply to one of our OPEN POSITIONS and start building your career path as part of a friendly organization with wonderful people and a tremendous culture. mindit.io puts people first, and you’re going to love that.
In my free time, I enjoy playing video games. I don’t necessarily have any favorites; I just have games that I play more often than others, such as Path of Exile and Warframe, to name a few.
I like them because you can play and let your mind float away into a state of relaxation, simply to unwind after a day at work or whenever you feel like chilling.
Two TV shows I would recommend are Suits and House MD. I will go with some of the classics here because I enjoy watching them.
Let me see. I want to tag Alexandra Arsene! She’s a terrific person; you have a lot to learn from her, she’s extremely talented in what she does, and if you ever need any information about the project she’s working on, you’ll always receive it in record time.
So Alexandra, hope you’ll continue to help me after this, but TAG, you’re it!
