Silviu Balaci decided to put Simona Hasan through the ropes, and he tagged her to be the next mindit.io person we’ll have the pleasure of interviewing. Ready to read our chat with Simona? Start scrolling!
I think that would have to be the freedom to build your own role and to shift from one position to another based on the opportunities you are willing to take.
Whenever I said that I was thinking about doing something new or working on a specific project, it always happened. I’m not saying this happens all the time. Still, you can be sure that someone will listen to your ideas and suggestions, and if the opportunity pops up, you should take advantage of it.
You are not just allowed to build your own career path based on what you enjoy doing; you are actually encouraged. And I think that’s pretty unique if you ask me.
I know that this is the right place for me because I’m appreciated for my work. You’re always valued as a person, not seen just as another employee. I knew I made the right choice joining mindit.io, when I saw that all my needs were being listened to.
You’re valued in all aspects of your work and on a personal level. All your hard work, ideas, and efforts are valued and rewarded.
When I came from the Support team and switched to BI, I received overwhelming feedback from one of our partners, which made my day.
Everybody started congratulating me, writing on Microsoft Teams groups and private “great work/good job” messages came rolling down my chat feed. This is just one of the moments. But there were a lot, and I’m sure there’s much more to look forward to in the future.
Your achievements are really appreciated, and you feel that. You feel valued, and that’s what makes your day.
While I was still part of the Support team, I was given the opportunity to take on an important BI project. Although I didn’t know how to do that, I received all the needed support from everybody, so I managed to change teams pretty fast.
I quickly managed to blend into my new role, and I can honestly say that I’m very proud of what I have accomplished so far together with this wonderful team. And I really enjoy it whenever we receive positive feedback from our partners who are simply delighted with some of the solutions we come up with.
It’s really rewarding to see what strong impact our hard work brings to the table.
We’re about 20 people on my team and I would describe us as being like The Musketeers. We’re all for one and one for all if you’ll allow me to get poetic.
We all understand each other’s needs and we help whenever it is required. There’s always someone there to help you whenever you need it, even in urgent situations when you need something asap. We’re a very united team and it gives you a lot of comfort to work in such an environment.
I love the travel budget idea, meaning that after 2 years, you can choose extra vacation days or a travel budget to go wherever you want. And the number of extra free days and the travel budget increases every 2 years, which is really cool!
I also enjoy the minditNomad homes we have all over the country. I love traveling a lot, and if I could use a famous quote to say what I feel, “if traveling was free, you’d never see me again.” I simply thrive on the freedom we have at mindit.io to work from anywhere. It’s relaxing to know that you can choose your working environment every day.
I started out in Support, and after a while, I was the most experienced person on my team, and I had the most knowledge about all the apps we were doing support for.
After this experience, I moved to the BI team as a developer, where I started learning new things with Silviu Balaci.
The Product Owner for one of our Swiss partners chose to pursue another role, and she considered that I was the best-fitted person to take her place. Having a technical background, I found it much easier to work with business people and understand their needs. I could tell them what’s technically possible, understanding all sides of the process.
I still have a lot to learn because the IT sector is in continuous growth and luckily for us, mindit.io is one of those organizations that encourages and promotes a learning and growth environment.
Since I already told my brother and my best friend to come and work here, it’s clear that I think mindit.io is a really cool team to be a part of.
If you’re looking for a place where you can learn and grow professionally and personally, somewhere where your ideas are taken into consideration, and a working environment where you can talk with anyone without going through all the traditional corporate hierarchies, mindit.io is the spot for you!
For anyone considering joining us, I highly recommend you apply to one of our OPEN ROLES and meet some of the people who could be your future colleagues.
I’m not sure what recommendations I can make, but I can share the things I enjoy doing. I really love skiing, and every winter, I hit the slopes; with every chance I get. I also go swimming from time to time.
My major passion is traveling. That’s what I love doing the most. It’s truly amazing to experience other peoples’ cultures to see what they eat, what they do in their free time, and how they share their knowledge with you.
I recently visited Italy, which is always amazing, and Greece is next on my list. Can’t wait to hit the beach!
I want to tag Ioana Vasile. She’s been my friend since 1st grade, so I’ve known her my entire life. I recommended she apply for Mindit Consulting, and after that, she joined us at mindit.io.
Now she’s a Project Manager, and I’m really proud of her, of us, and our evolution inside this community of kind people. So Ioana, TAG, you’re it!
