Below are few words from our colleague Laura Rosianu – General Manager @ Mindit Consulting & Chair of the Board @ the PBSA Europe.
Where did it all begin? What drew you most towards mindit ?
It was more than 5 years ago when I joined the mindit family. I learned about Mindit Consulting from a friend and I was really intrigued about the culture. I remember that when I came into the office for the first interview, there was a cat on one of the colleagues's shoulders and the entire office felt very cozy and fun. Mindit Consulting and mindit.io have always been close and I always liked the way an HR company and an IT company coexist and thrive so well together.
What are your top three career milestones? If you had to pinpoint a defining moment along your journey in mindit , what would that be?
In no particular order:
When I became General Manager at Mindit Consulting
When I became Chair of the Board at PBSA (Professional Background Screening Association)
When I realised I can do in mindit things my way, with a lot of support and encouragement from people around me.
One of the defining moments in my journey is when I started working closer with people from mindit.io. Being close to the awesome people there really helped shape the way I do and see things and offered the perfect space for experimenting and learning.
Where do you see yourself now, career-wise? What else do you wish to achieve?
Now I am in the place that I choose every day, the place that gives me the opportunity to shape my professional development my way.
There are so many things I want to achieve, to learn and I am grateful for being able to do that every day.
How does your current role in mindit fit into your career goals?
By working with awesome people and having all the support and encouragement needed to create my journey, my current role sets a solid base for any challenge ahead.
What are the most rewarding and dearest moments lived in mindit? What about the biggest challenges?
Some of the challenges became also the most rewarding moments - all the deadlines we met so closely, all the moments when I struggled and someone was right there to support me, all the "Aha" moments when we figured something out after a long period of trying. Besides that, some of my dearest memories are about the fun and bonding moments with the team, the moments we stood by each other and we learned together.
What is the biggest life lesson you have learned in mindit, or during your career, in general? How do you apply it in your daily life?
The biggest life lesson is that I can dream big and that my dreams are possible, with hard work and consistency.
How do you challenge yourself?
I always question the status quo and look for ways to optimise, improve or come up with a totally new way of doing things.
Lastly, if you were to describe mindit in one word or phrase, what would that be?
The place to be if you want to be surrounded by awesome people and craft your role!
