For this role: We are looking for someone with previous experience in leading a BI development team and with strong planning, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You will work alongside a team of other accomplished developers and architects, delivering complex data-driven projects across various products to bring value together to our partner who has a 40% market share of retail travel worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Product Owners on multiple Business Units BI development projects.
• Provide technical, analytical, and strategic support for the project’s well-being.
• Data modeling, data architecture experience, business analysis competencies, and business acumen.
• Develop SSIS packages specifically targeting recurrent Data Quality (DQ) issues.
• In-depth understanding of the flows and data in tools like MicroStrategy, PowerBI, etc., including modules, main attributes, and the business perspective on how tables are interconnected (e.g., restrictions on combining product information with accounting information).
• Monitor the usage of reports through the engagement dashboard and discuss the results with the Product Owner.
• Solve performance issues across various layers, including the Data Warehouse (DW), Staging, and Cube layers.
• Perform several types of data quality checks across all layers, including reporting and SQL, and can identify the root cause of data mismatches.

What are we looking for:

• Advanced SQL (T-SQL);
• Advanced ETL (SSIS knowledge);
• Proficiency in Data Warehouse / Data Lake concepts (Databricks) and Data Modeling (eg. Star schema);
• Expertise with BI Tools (Power BI), Azure Data Factory, and DAX.
• Experienced user of Azure DevOps/JIRA development project management tools.

Nice to have:

• Other BI tools: Qlik, SSRS;
• Other ETL tools: Spark (data bricks); Knowledge of Analytical Data Bases: OLAP Cubes, etc;
• Database administration and optimization;
• Understanding software development practices like source control, CI/CD, etc.
